Tips on Plasma Cutter

Image
Outer Retaining Cap :   This component holds everything that constitutes plasmas without air compressor . This is usually replaced when it shows visible damage such as dents and burns or if it is already difficulty to thread onto the torch head. Swirl Ring:   It is usually made up of high temperature resistant materials such as ceramic or Vespel which make this component unconsumed by the hot plasma arc. It functions as an insulator for between the nozzle and   the electrode . The swirl ring is usually well-taken cared of to ensure it is clean from dirt and debris. Electrode:   This is usually made up of silver or copper or both, and has a built-in emitter rod insert, which is made out of tungsten or hafnium. During the process when the torch is used, the rod emitter is continuously consumed. This will need replacement when the wear depth has already exceeded the acceptable limit.
